MAGURA, April 7, 2026 (BSS) - Magura Zila Parishad today distributed cheques of Taka 16.5 million among 150 institutions across the district's four upazilas to support various development initiatives.
 
The cheque distribution programme was held at the Zila Parishad auditorium at 11:00 am, with Administrator and District BNP Convener Ali Ahmed presiding over the event.
 
Chief Executive Officer Hasina Mumtaz attended the event and formally handed over the cheques to representatives of the beneficiary institutions.
 
Officials said the funds have been allocated to implement projects in key sectors including education, social development, and infrastructure. They expressed hope that the initiative will significantly contribute to the overall development of the district and improve public services at the grassroots level.
 
The programme was attended by local officials, representatives of beneficiary organizations, and other stakeholders.
