KHULNA, April 7, 2026 (BSS) - Acting Director of the Divisional Health Office
Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman on Tuesday said the world is advancing towards the
Fourth Industrial Revolution, with healthcare services becoming increasingly
modern.

He made the remarks as the chief guest at a discussion meeting was held at
the conference room of the Civil Surgeon's Office in Khulna marking "World
Health Day".

This year's theme of the day is "Science in Health Services, Safe Lives for
All".

The chief guest noted that many countries are now providing treatment through
advanced technologies, including robotics, which has been made possible by
scientific progress.

He stressed that alongside technological advancement, developing a strong
service-oriented mindset among healthcare providers is essential to ensure
quality healthcare for the common people.

He also emphasized the importance of prevention over cure and called for
raising public awareness in this regard.

He further urged all concerned in the health sector to adopt a more science-
oriented approach in their works to improve service quality.

"We must use science for humanitarian purposes so that it benefits all living
beings. If people remain healthy, dreams will survive -- and if dreams
survive, the country will progress," he added.

meeting.
