RAJSHAHI, April 7, 2026 (BSS) - Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) here today inspected the ongoing construction of the Gorhanga Rail Crossing flyover and Shalbagan kitchen market under the Integrated Urban Infrastructure Development Project.

The inspection was conducted under Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton of RCC.

During the visit, he reviewed progress of different project segments and directed authorities to remove construction materials blocking roads within seven days to ease public movement.

He also instructed concerned officials to expedite completion of all ongoing works, including the flyover construction.

The RCC administrator said steps have been taken to improve cleanliness, drainage and mosquito control under short-term action plans, aiming to build a clean and green city.

During the inspection, the RCC Administrator also sought cooperation from footpath vendors to keep sidewalks free from encroachment.

During the inspection, RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, Superintending Engineers Khairul Baker and Ahmad Al Moin Parag, Executive Engineer Mahmudur Rahman Imon and others were present.
