CHATTOGRAM, April 7, 2026 (BSS)- Detective Branch (DB-West) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) recovered 8 kgs of heroin and 14,000 pieces of Yaba from the area under Karnaphuli police station in a drive. 
 
A bus used for transporting drugs was also seized during the drive. CMP Media and Public Relations Department Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Imran Hossain confirmed this information to BSS on this afternoon. 
 
He said that a huge amount of drugs was recovered during the drive in the area of ??Karnaphuli police station area and a bus used for transporting drugs was seized. The recovered drugs include eight kgs of heroin and 14,000 pieces of Yaba tablets.
 
 Details will be given in a press briefing by CMP Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) Muhammad Faisal Ahmed at the Media Center of the CMP Commissioner's Office at Dampara Police Lines on Tuesday afternoon.
