CHUADANGA, Jan 10, 2026 (BSS) - In a humanitarian initiative, the Chuadanga-6 BGB Battalion distributed blankets and winter clothes among cold-stricken residents of Baraboldia village in Damurhuda upazila here today.
The distribution took place at Baraboldia School and College premises around 11 am, where 400 blankets were handed over to the cold hit people. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel Nazmul Hasan, Commander of the Chuadanga-6 BGB Battalion.
Assistant Director and Acting Quartermaster Mohammad Raj Mamud stated in a press release that the initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable residents during the harsh winter season.
Lieutenant Colonel Nazmul Hasan emphasized that such humanitarian assistance programs play an important role in supporting the socio-economic development of poor and vulnerable communities, alongside the BGB’s regular duties of border security and anti-smuggling operations.
He added that the Chuadanga Battalion will continue similar initiatives in the future.
