MAGURA, Jan 1, 2026 (BSS) - A pedestrian was killed in a road accident in front of the Ramnagar Highway Police Station in Magura Sadar upazila on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Jahid (35), son of late Rafiqul Islam of Kasandi village. Police said he was mentally unstable.

According to police, the accident took place at around 6:30 am when Jahid was crossing the road.

Local people rescued him and took him to Magura Sadar Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Ramnagar Highway Police Outpost Roknuzzaman said the body would be handed over to the victim's family after completing necessary legal procedures.
