KHULNA, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Md Ejajul Hossain in connection with the double murder that took place in front of the Khulna Metropolitan Court premises.

The information was disclosed at a press conference on Thursday by Lieutenant Colonel Md Nistar Ahmed, Commanding Officer of RAB-6.

He said Fazle Rabbi Rajan, 30, and Hasib Hawladar, 40, were shot and hacked to death in in front of the court's main gate on November 30. Following the incident, RAB-6 collected evidence, including CCTV footage and mobile video recordings.

Ejajul Hossain, who was clearly identified in video footage, was arrested on December 17 around 5:30 pm from the Aichgati area of Rupsha. He later confessed to his involvement and disclosed the names of seven others involved in the killing.

Fazlur Rahman, Media Officer of RAB-6, said the murders stemmed from long-standing rivalry between two drug trafficking groups over illegal business supremacy, adding that drives are continuing to arrest the remaining accused.
