DINAJPUR, November 14, 2025 (BSS)- Police has arrested seven leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its associated bodies in connection with a sabotage attack in Kaharol upazila here today.

Arrestees were accused in two different cases of sabotage and were absconding for long time, police said.

Based on a secret information police raided a house arrested the accused persons.
The arrestees are- Kaharol Upazila Jubo League joint secretary Biswajit Kumar Das, 32, joint secretary Dipu Das, 34, union AL general secretary Sayed Hasan Ali, 40, Union Chhatra League joint secretary Abdus Salam, 27, union AL general secretary Shafikul Islam, 42 and union Jubo League president Aminul Islam, 35.

Another Jubo league leader Swapan Das, 40, son of Harimohon Roy of Uchitpur Village was arrested as there was a court warrant against him.    

Police said the arrestees will be produced before the court later today.
