Khulna Jamaat holds sit-in protest against disbanded AL's anarchy

Khulna, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) - The Khulna City Unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami today staged a sit-in demonstration in front of the party office at Royal intersection in protest against the lockdown, anarchy, and violence called by the disbanded Awami League. 

During the protest, Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Khulna City Ameer Professor Mahfuzur Rahman said although the autocratic Sheikh Hasina has fled the country, her accomplices are still creating anarchy. "Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is on the field to resist them," he added.

Khulna Jamaat office secretary Mim Miraz Hossain, business leader Azizur Rahman Swapon, Jamaat leaders S M Hafizur Rahman, Maulana Rahmat Ullah, Abdul Alim, Nasim Molya, Shahidul Islam, Abul Hashem, Abdul Aziz, Nurullah Hawlader, and Nur Mohammad, among others, spoke at the programme. 

Professor Mahfuzur Rahman urged all to unite in a peaceful movement to restore democracy and establish a justice-based society in the country.
The city Ameer further said, "There will be no more leniency toward the Awami League." 

He called upon people to resist acts of violence and sabotage, saying that anyone attempting to destroy public or state property should be caught and handed over to the authorities through public resistance.
Khulna Sadar Thana Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer S M Hafizur Rahman presided over the function. 

Jamaat also held similar programmes in Sonadanga and Horintana areas.
