RAJBARI, Nov 12, 2025 (BSS) - A joint operation by the Army, Police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) is continuing at 16 strategic points, including the Daulatdia area, amid concerns over possible unrest surrounding the upcoming verdict in the July killing case involving fallen fascist Sheikh Hasina and other Awami League leaders, scheduled to be announced tomorrow.
Security forces have been stationed at Daulatdia Ghat - a key transit hub connecting 21 districts - since Wednesday afternoon, where they have intensified surveillance and security measures.
Joint teams of the Army, Police, and RAB are conducting thorough searches of passengers and vehicles, including buses and minibuses, to prevent any untoward incident.
"There is no scope for creating chaos or sabotage centering the verdict," said Rajbari Superintendent of Police M. Kamrul Islam, adding that the security checks have been strengthened to ensure public safety.
Major Ahad, the Rajbari Camp Commander of the Bangladesh Army, confirmed that security personnel have been deployed at 16 points across the district, including Daulatdia Ghat.
The district administration has taken maximum precautionary measures to prevent any disorder or violence during the Awami League's lockdown program called around the verdict.
Authorities said the heightened security and surveillance operations will continue until further notice.
