CHATTOGRAM, Nov 11, 2025 (BSS) – Police have arrested Jubo League leader Md Shawkat Hossain Khokon from his residence in Boalkhali this morning.

Mohammad Lutfur Rahman, OC of Boalkhali Thana, said that acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid at Khokon’s house around 7:30 am but could not find him anywhere.

Later, law enforcers found him in a specially constructed tunnel beneath the tiles of his house.

Khokon, joint general secretary of the upazila Jubo League, has been actively organizing party events since August 5 last year through social media announcements, wall writings, and posters.

He has been sent to court after the arrest.
