DHAKA, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 20 individuals as part of its anti-crime campaign under Mohammadpur areas.

According to a press release issued here today by DMP's media and public 
relations division, Mohammadpur police netted the 20 alleged criminals on 
charges of various crimes through a special drive.

They have been sent to the appropriate court, it said. 

It further said that police on Monday arrested Rumana Kabir (39), SA Kabir 
(47), Md Aziz (40), Md Sharas Miah (21), Md Ashik (22), Md Shaown Molla (20), Md Mohin Ahmed (22), Md Ashik Hossain (24), Md Jewel Mia (20), Md Zahid (18), Md Mostaq (18), Mohammad Baki Billah (20), Md Jobayed Ibne Hossain (20), Rafizul (35), Asif (23), Md Kasfim (22), Ashikur Rahman (23), Md Ripon (40), Md Kawsar (29) and MD Noman alias Bijoy (24) from various crime prone spots.

Police also recovered 50 pieces of yaba tablets and samurai knife from their 
possession, the release added.

DMP's media and public relations division said that the arrested include 
accused facing regular cases and involved in various crimes.
