JHENAIDAH, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Asannagar area under Shailkupa upazila of the district this afternoon.

The deceased was Miraj Hossain, 22, son of Monirul Islam of Basudebpur village under Harinakundu upazila of the district.

The accident occurred around 3.30 pm on the Jhenaidah-Kushtia highway when a bus hit a motorcycle from behind, leaving bike rider Miraj dead on the spot, said Shailkupa Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Masum Khan.
