CHATTOGRAM, November 10, 2025 (BSS) - A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a bus driver named Rezaul Karim (35) with 19 bottles of foreign liquor in Hathazari last night.

ARM Mozaffar Hossain, the Assistant Director of RAB-7 (Media), confirmed the arrest. The arrest took place around 6:30 pm on Sunday evening in the Abbasiyar Pool area of Hathazari following a secret information.

The arrested the son of Jasim Uddin from the Belchhari area of Matiranga upazila in Khagrachhari.

On information, Mozaffar Hossain said  a temporary check post was set up around 6:30 pm on Sunday about drug dealers traveling from Khagrachhari to Chattogram in a passenger bus carrying foreign liquor.

The bus driver, Rezaul Karim, was arrested by RAB members after they found 19 bottles of foreign liquor hidden in a box on the left side of the bus. The arrested individual has been handed over to Hathazari Police Station.
