KHULNA, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 arrested three drug peddlers with 118 bottles of banned Indian Phensedyl in separate drives conducted in Jhenaidah and Jashore districts today.

According to a RAB press release, a team of RAB-6, CPC-2, Jhenaidah Camp conducted a drive this morning in front of Sheikh Kamal Textile Engineering College area on the Dhaka-bound highway under Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station.

During the operation, the elite force arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 35 bottles of banned Indian Phensedyl from their possession.

In another drive, a team of RAB-6, CPC-3, Jashore Camp carried out a special raid at Goga village under Sharsha Police Station in Jashore district.

The team recovered 83 bottles of Indian Phensedyl from the house of one Md. Abul Kalam. 

However, sensing the presence of the RAB team, Abul Kalam managed to flee the scene.

The arrested drug peddlers and the seized drugs were handed over to Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station after filing separate cases under the Narcotics Control Act for further legal action, the press release added.
