Sepoy-People's Revolution foils hegemonic conspiracy

RANGPUR, Nov 7, 2025 (BSS) - The leaders of BNP and its affiliated organizations have said that the spontaneous Sepoy-People's Revolution on November 7, 1975, foiled the hegemonic conspiracy against the country's independence and sovereignty.

They made the observation while addressing a function arranged in observance of the 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day' through daylong programmes by the Rangpur district and metropolitan BNP at the party's office premises in the city on Friday.

In the morning, the national and party flags were hoisted at the party office at Grand Hotel Morse in the city. 

Member of the district BNP and Public Prosecutor of Rangpur Advocate Md Aftab Uddin, BNP leader Fazlur Rahman Badal, Vice-president of the Nationalist Lawyers' Forum, Advocate Abdul Hadi Belal, Assistant Organizing Secretary of Zia Mancha Rajib Chowdhury, among others, were present at the programmes. 

At that time, the BNP leaders said that on this day in 1975, hegemony, dictatorship, one-party rule and the prevailing anarchy ended in the country through the spontaneous Sepoy-People's Revolution. 

They said that Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman was the great hero of this historic revolution. 

After overcoming instability through the revolution of the Sepoy-People, a beautiful environment and multi-party democracy returned to the country. 

Meanwhile, a rally of the Metropolitan BNP took out from the party office in the afternoon to mark the day and circled the important roads of the city. 

Metropolitan BNP convener Md Shamsuzzaman Samu, its member-secretary Advocate Mahfuz Un Nabi Don, senior joint convener Md Shahidul Islam Mizu, BNP leader Abdus Salam, senior joint convener of the Metropolitan Jubo Dal Jahir Alam Nayon, its member-secretary Atiqul Islam Lelin, among others, participated in it.
