KHULNA, Nov 7, 2025 (BSS) - A mosquito eradication campaign aimed at preventing Dengue and Chikungunya was launched today in Khulna city under the initiative of Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal.

The programme was inaugurated in the Nayabati area of Ward No. 10 under Khalishpur Thana by Rakibul Islam Bakul, BNP central executive committee member and the party's nominated candidate for Khulna-3 constituency.

Addressing the event, Bakul termed the upcoming national election as "the people's election" and warned that any attempt to obstruct it would be resisted through unity with the masses.

After 17 years of struggle and sacrifice, people of the country have brought down an authoritarian regime and are now determined to establish a government of their choice, he said.

Highlighting the right to vote as a fundamental right, he said, "The people want to exercise their right to choose their preferred government freely through fair elections."

Bakul further warned that any conspiracy against the people's mandate would be met with strong resistance, adding, "We will once again take to the streets if anyone tries to play with the people's fate."
