CHATTOGRAM, November 5, 2025 (BSS) - BNP assistant organizing secretary Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, after being nominated for the Chattogram-5 (Hathazari-Bayezid) constituency, has said the party announced its list of nominated candidates for the upcoming national elections effectively countering various election-related conspiracies.

Mir Helal made the remarks this afternoon following a visit to the Shah Amanat (RA) shrine in Chattogram city, where he offered prayers and paid tribute at the graves of his father-in-law and other elders.

Speaking to leaders, activists and journalists, Mir Helal reaffirmed his commitment to the ongoing anti-fascist movement and highlighted his 17 years of dedication to organizing BNP activities and serving the people of Hathazari and Bayezid.

He expressed gratitude to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman for nominating him as the candidate for the Dhaner Sheesh symbol, describing it as recognition of his contributions to the party and the people. He also thanked the people of Chattogram-5 for their unwavering support and prayers, pledging to uphold their dignity and interests.

Later in the day, Mir Helal visited the grave of former Jatiya Sangsad Whip, late Syed Wahidul Alam MP, at Laliar Hat in Hathazari and met with members of the late leader's family. 

He then went to his ancestral home in Mirrekhil village to pay respects at the graves of his grandparents and other elders.

Later he attended a public gathering organized by Hathazari Municipality BNP as the chief guest. The event was attended by Hathazari Upazila BNP Convener Alhaj Nur Mohammad, City BNP Joint Convener Syed Azam Uddin, Municipality BNP Convener Alhaj Zakir Hossain, former Bayezid Thana BNP President Abdullah Al Harun and other local BNP leaders including Selim Chairman, Ayub Khan, Ohidul Alam and Abdus Shukkur Member.
