BANDARBAN, Nov 04, 2025 (BSS) - The Kathin Chibar Dana, one of the most sacred religious festivals of the Buddhist community, was held today at the Rajguru Boudha Vihara (Khang Waha Kayng) in the town.
From early morning, devotees gathered at the temple and took part in prayers including Buddha Puja, Sanghadana, Moha Sanghadana and Astopariskar Dana.
Earlier, a colorful rally was brought out from the temple which paraded different streets of the town. And it was ended at the temple.
In the afternoon, the Robe Offering Ceremony (Kathin Chibar Dana) was held.
Naikhongchhari Kendriya Bouddha Vihara chief Venerable Asaba Mohathero, Minjhiri Para Bouddha Vihara chief Venerable Koyeechainda Mohathero and Rajguru Bouddha Vihara chief Ketu Mohathero, among others, gave religious speeches.
Besides, Bhomaog community King Bhomagree Uch Pru and Rajguru Vihara managing committee president Rajkumar Mong Oeye Pru, among others, were present at the event.
Special prayers were also offered at the monastery seeking peace and prosperity for the nation as well as global harmony.
