SUNAMGANJ, Nov 3, 2025 (BSS) - Sunamgonj Science and Technology University (SSTU) today celebrated its first founding anniversary with a series of programs.

The celebration program began at 10:00am with hoisting the national flag at the temporary campus at Shantiganj, followed by a colorful rally.

To mark the day, the SSTU authorities hosted a discussion at the Shantiganj Jhilmil auditorium with SSTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nijamuddin in the chair.

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury addressed the discussion as the chief guest.

Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Alimul Islam, Sylhet Divisional Commissioner Khan Md. Reza-Un-Nabi, Sunamganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ileas Mia and Police Super Tofail Ahmed attended the event as the special guests.  

Students, teachers and other officials of the districts also attended the ceremony.
