SIRAJGANJ, Nov 2, 2025 (BSS) - A youth was killed and another injured in a road accident in Tetiyar Kanda area on the Bogura-Nagarbari highway under Shahjadpur upazila of the district this noon.

The deceased was Ruhan, 17, a resident of the municipal headquarters of Ullapara upazila.

Eyewitnesses said that some youths were racing from Ullapara towards Pabna on three motorcycles at a high speed. When they reached in Tetiyar Kanda area they collided with each other, lost control and crashed into a roadside tree. 

During this time, two motorcyclists were thrown off, killing Ruhan on the spot. 

Locals rescued injured Badsha and took him to the local hospital. Later he was referred to Pangu Hospital in Dhaka.

Sub Inspector of Shahjadpur Police Station Emdad confirmed the matter and said that one person was killed on the spot and another was seriously injured.
