RANGPUR, Nov 2, 2025 (BSS) - Chairman of the Land Reforms Board AJM
Salahuddin Nagri has said that the government has started the process of
providing all land-related services to the people online.
"Land Support Centers have been providing services to the people very easily
at the field level. The use of digital technology in land management should
be further increased to reduce the time, cost and suffering of the people,"
he said.
He said this while addressing a workshop on "Things to be done to simplify
land management activities and increase land revenue collection" held at the
Deputy Commissioner's conference room in the city as the chief guest on
Sunday.
Rangpur Divisional Commissioner (Routine Responsibilities) Md Abu Jafar
presided over the workshop organised by the Rangpur district administration.
Member (Administration) of the Land Reforms Board Md Rezaul Kabir presented
the keynote address at the event.
The chief guest said that the main objective of the government is to provide
services to the people in an easy and improved way by facilitating land
management activities.
Referring to the people as the root of everything, he said, "We are engaged
in providing the services requested by the people."
He urged all concerned to properly utilize the knowledge gained in the
workshop and provide all land-related works to the people in an easy and
hassle-free manner at the earliest possible time.
In his closing speech, Md Abu Jafar said that all land services related works
are being completed through modern technology and integrated methods.
Regarding online land services, he said, "As it is possible to pay for
Namzari, Khajna and registration tax online, harassment in land management is
gradually decreasing to a large extent."
Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Ashraful Islam, Rangpur
Division Deputy Land Reform Commissioner Md. Zahurul Islam, Deputy
Commissioner Md. Rabiul Faisal, and others delivered speeches as special
guests at the workshop.
Officials of Rangpur district and all eight upazila administrations and union
land offices were present at the event.
