HABIGANJ, Nov 2, 2025 (BSS) - The National Citizens Party (NCP) has announced a new 91-member district committee for Habiganj, with Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal as Convener, Mahbubul Bari Mubin as Member Secretary, and Ustar Mia Talukder as Organizing Secretary.

The announcement came through a letter signed on Sunday by the party's central Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain and Chief Organizer (northern region) Sarjis Alam.

The newly formed committee includes Advocate Fakhruddin Ahmed Zaki as Senior Joint Convener, and Shakil Mohammad, Nazrul Aziz Juned, Abdul Hai Kamal, Abdul Basit Tarafdar, Nurul Haque Tipu, Shahajahan Mia, Abdullah Al Kafi, Asma Akter Chowdhury, Anwar Hossain, Abdul Wahed Monir, and Md Faruk Mia Master as Joint Conveners.

Senior Joint Member Secretary Palash Mahmud and Joint Member Secretaries Mir Dulal, Iftekhar Ahad Naim, Kamal Ahmed, Shah Syed ul Hasan Sayed, MA Shahid, Salma Ahsan, Sheikh Rubel Ahmed, and Shafiqul Islam Selim were also named in the new committee.

Speaking on the occasion, newly appointed Convener Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal expressed optimism about the team's future activities.

"We have got a new committee. Hopefully, with everyone's cooperation, we will work towards strengthening the Upazila Coordination Committees and taking the party forward," Kamal said.
