DINAJPUR, Oct 23, 2025 (BSS)- Two shops fined today Taka two lakh for storing and selling sweets in unsanitary conditions during a raid in the city.
Dinajpur Sadar Senior Judicial Magistrate Md. Ibrahim Ali led the operation.
He said that a drive was conducted at Millennium Sweets and Ganeshtala Sweets on Station Road in the city.
The establishments were seen storing and selling ghee, rasmalai, chanachur and curd in unhygienic conditions without invoices and labels. At that time, both the shops were fined Taka one lakh each according to the Safe Food Act, 2013. The fine was collected immediately.
District Food Safety Officer Gautam Kumar Saha and other staff were present during the operation. A team of district police provided overall support in the court proceedings.
