MUNSHIGANJ, Oct 23, 2025 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of police in a drive arrested three people with a firearm, bullets and bomb-making materials from Manikpur area in Sadar upazila here on Wednesday evening.

The arrested were Abdul Halim Mir, 60, his son Shafiq Mir, 38 and Sohel Mir, 30, son of Abdul Hi, residents of Chardumuriya village under Mollakandi union of the upazila.

On a tip-off, a team of DB police conducted a raid in the house of Halim Mir around 6 pm and arrested them with a pipe gun, 100 bullets, sharp weapons, 5 helmets, one bullet proof jacket, empty bomb disposal can and cash Taka 3 lakh, said Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Md. Firoz Kabir.

A case was filed with Sadar Police Station in this connection.
