CHATTOGRAM, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) – Police arrested three snatchers from various parts of the port city this morning. 

A team from Panchlaish Police Station arrested Imam Hossain Akash after he escaped from police custody while undergoing treatment at CMCH Hospital. He also injured a constable during his escape. 

His two accomplices have also been apprehended. 

On Tuesday afternoon, three snatchers attacked a Chinese national near the Chattogram Port Officers Colony gate in Sitakunda, stabbing him below the knee and snatched his iPhone and cash. 
 
Passers-by caught Imam Hossain Akash and handed him over to the police. However, his two accomplices managed to flee the scene. 

Akash later escaped from the hospital injuring a police officer who was guarding him.
