KISHOREGANJ, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) - A police constable was killed in a road accident at Kalikaprasad area under Bhairab upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Nazmul Haque, 28, son of Raju Mia of Kandi village in Pakundia upazila. 

The accident took place on the Bhairab-Kishoreganj road early this morning when a speedy truck hit a standing police van, leaving constable Nazmul seriously injured, said Md. Sahabur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Bhairab Highway Police Station. 

His colleagues rescued him and took him to Bhairab Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. 

Nazmul had recently joined Bhairab Highway Police Station on October 4, after serving at Gorai Highway Police Station in Tangail.
