CHATTOGRAM, Oct 21, 2025 (BSS) - A vegetable trader was killed and three others were injured in a head-on collision between a covered van and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Rauzan upazila in the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Nazim Uddin, 44, son of Idris Mia of Ward No-4 under Chikdair union of the upazila.

The accident occurred in the Gahira Dolainagar Aturannighata area when a covered van collided with the auto-rickshaw, leaving Nazim Uddin, a passenger of the three-wheeler, dead on the spot and three others critically injured, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rauzan Police Station Monirul Islam Bhuiyan told BSS.

The injured were rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for treatment, the OC added.
