CHATTOGRAM, Oct 21, 2025 (BSS) - A mobile court has fined a restaurant under Kotwali thana of the district Taka two lakh for serving low-quality food in an unhygienic environment. 

The drive, led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Masuma Akhter Kona, was carried out at Nandankanon's Hill Side Restaurant on Monday evening.

The establishment was fined Taka two lakh under the relevant section of the Safe Food Act, 2013, District Food Safety Officer Mohammad Farhan Islam confirmed.

These enforcement efforts will continue in the interest of public safety, he added.
