Workshop on 'Food Processing and Preservation' held at CVASU

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 20, 2025 (BSS)- A 12-day training workshop on "Food 
Processing and Preservation" organized by Chattogram Veterinary and Animal 
Sciences University (CVASU) concluded on Monday. 

The workshop was collaboration between the Food Processing and Engineering 
Department of CVASU and the Department of Agricultural Marketing. 

A total of 25 youths and female entrepreneurs from Cox's Bazar district 
participated in the practical training workshop, which took place from 
October 9 to October 20.
 
The workshop provided hands-on training on processing and preservation 
methods for 10 food products including jam, jelly, cake, biscuit, yogurt, and 
pickles. 

The concluding function was held at the CVASU conference room while its Vice-
Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman addressed the event as 
the chief guest. 

CVASU Treasurer Prof Dr. Md. Kamal and Director (External Activities) Prof 
Dr. A K M Saifuddin were present as special guests.
 
During the event, Prof Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman encouraged young and women 
entrepreneurs to conduct business ethically for sustainability and success. 

Later, certificates were awarded to the participants at the workshop.
