CUMILLA, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized Indian clothes and mobile displays worth over Taka 1.15 crore from different border areas of the district early this morning.

A BGB team of Cumilla BGB-10 Battalion conducted separate drives at Shiberbazar BOP of Chauddagram upazila and Cattok Bazar Post area under Bibirbazar BOP of Adarsh Sadar upazila, and seized goods worth over Taka 1.15 crore, said Commander of the battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Mir Ali Ejaz, this noon. 

During the drives, 323 pieces of Indian sarees, 180 pieces of shawls, and 1,714 pieces of mobile displays were seized from Burichang and Panchthubi, eight kilometers inside the border.

The BGB said all the seized goods will be handed over to the customs authorities as per the rules.
