FENI, Oct 18, 2025 (BSS)- A total of 3,000 patients were given free treatment
in two separate medical camps at Dagonbhuiyan and Sonagazi upazilas of the
district today.
Dagonbhuiyan and Sonagazi upazilas and Poura units of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-
Islami jointly organised the camp at Dagonhuiyan Ataturk Government Ideal
High School ground conserving the health risks of the people in the region.
Central Mazlish-e-Sura member and former President of Islami Chhatra Shibir,
central committee Dr Fakhruddin Manik inaugurated the camp as chief guest.
A total of 30 male and female doctors treated the patients with the help of
10 nurses. The doctors handed over medicines free of cost to the patients
with necessary laboratory tests, ultra-sonography and blood tests.
Over 150 volunteers were engaged in the camp to help the patients and make
the camp a success.
Among others, Dagonbhuiya Upazila Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Gazi Salaluddin,
its Secretary Kamal Uddin, Amir of Dagonbhuiya Poura Jamaat Maulana Kamrul
Hasan, its Secretary Abu Sayeed Kamruzzaman, general secretary of Islami
Chhatra Shibir, Feni district unit Arman were present at the camp.
Meanwhile, a similar medical camp was also held at Sonagazi upazila here on
Friday.
Dhaka City North unit of Jamaat and president of Dagonbhuiya-Sonagazi Unnayan
Parishad Dr Fakhruddin Manik, also the patron of the medical camp, said
initially they have been providing medical services to the poor patients of
the upazila through 30 doctors.
This type of camps would be expanded at the village-level in future, he
added.
