DINAJPUR, Oct 18, 2025 (BSS) - Fugitive accused in a sensational murder case of Birol upazila of the district has been arrested from Gazipur in a drive by RAB members in Dinajpur. 

The arrested was identified as Md Minarul, 50, son of Hossain Ali of Achotia Shalbari village under Birol upazila of the district.

A team of the elite force conducted a drive in Kaliakair Mouchak area of Gazipur district last night and arrested Minarul, said a press release sent by Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Abul Hasan, Senior Assistant Director of the Public Relations Department of Dinajpur RAB-13 camp, at 2 pm today.

Minarul had been hiding in various places to avoid arrest since the murder. 

The RAB members handed over the arrested Minarul to the Birol Police Station at 2 pm today.

Officer-in-Charge of Birol Police Station Md. Abdus Sabur said that the arrested will be produced before the Dinajpur Senior Judicial Magistrate Court this evening.
