PATUAKHALI, Oct 17, 2025 (BSS) - A worker tragically died after falling from a tree at Rangabali upazila here today.

The incident took place at Kaukhali village of Chhotabaishdia union under Rangabali upazila this morning.

The deceased Julhas Faraji, son of Nur Mohammad Faraji, at Haridrakhali village of Chhotabaishdia union at Rangabali upazila.

Police said Julhas went to Kaukhali village with other workers to cut trees on a contract basis. 

He was trying to climb a tree by tying a rope, but suddenly he slipped and fell down. 

He suffered serious injuries to his head and some parts of his body. Later, colleagues rescued Julhas and took him to Galachipa Upazila Health Complex, where on duty doctors declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rangabali Police Station said that body of the deceased was handed over to his family after legal process.
