CUMILLA, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a 
drive arrested two youths with a foreign-made pistol, three bullets, a 
magazine and a large quantity of drugs from Bhatkeswar village in Sadar 
upazila here last night.

The arrested were Riyad Hossain, 29, son of Jasim of Bhatkeswar village in 
Sadar upazila and Mamun Mia, 29, son of late Manzil Mia of the same village.

Two youths were arrested with firearm, bullets and drugs from Bhatkeswar 
village in Sadar upazila last night, said Major Sadman Ibne Alam, commander 
of Cumilla RAB-11 at a press conference this morning.

They have been bringing drugs and firearms from India and supplying those to 
different places across the country, he added. 

About 18 cases against Riyad and five cases against Mamun were pending under 
the Arms Act, 1878 and the Drugs Act, 1940 in different police stations of 
the district.
