CHATTOGRAM, Oct 12, 2025 (BSS) – Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, former correspondent of the Daily Financial Express, passed away on Saturday night. He was 78.
Family sources said he died around 8:40 pm while undergoing treatment at a private clinic in the city. He had been suffering from various illnesses, including a heart ailment.
His namaz-e-janaza was held at Sikder Ghata Eidgah Maidan in Raujan this afternoon. Later, he was buried at his family graveyard.
Sarwar Uddin Ahmed is survived by his wife, three daughters, a son, and a host of relatives and well-wishers.
The Chattogram Press Club and the Chattogram Metropolitan Journalists Union, in separate statements, expressed deep shock at his death and conveyed their sincere sympathy to the bereaved family members.
