BAGERHAT, Oct 9, 2025 (BSS) - Over four lakh children in the district will receive the Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) during the vaccination campaign, scheduled to begin on October 12.

Civil Surgeon Dr ASM Mahbubul Alam disclosed this at a press conference at his office today.

He said children aged 9 months to 15 years will be administered the free typhoid vaccine in nine upazilas of Bagerhat district. 

Registration is underway in every school to implement the vaccination programme.

The administration is committed to bringing every child under the scope of the campaign.

The Civil Surgeon sought cooperation from all stakeholders to make the programme a success.

Officials from the Civil Surgeon's office were present at the briefing.
