PIROJPUR, Oct 8, 2025 (BSS) - A youth died from electrocution at Sheikhpara village of Sohagdal union under Nesarabad upazila of the district last night.

The deceased was identified as M Roni, 26, son of Harun-or-Rashid, a resident of the same area.

The incident occurred around 9 pm while he was trying to put out a fire in a bamboo grove near his house due to an electrical short circuit. 

Roni's father was injured in the incident. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nesarabad Police Station Md. Boni Amin confirmed the matter.
