MAGURA, Oct 8, 2025 (BSS) - A district-level consultation workshop with media personnel on the upcoming Typhoid Vaccination Campaign-2025 was held in Magura today to raise awareness and ensure community participation.
The day-long workshop, organized by the District Information Office with support from UNICEF Bangladesh, took place at the Islamic Foundation conference room under the project titled "Awareness and Communication Activities for the Development of Children, Adolescents, and Women."
Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Kader attended the event as the chief guest, while Civil Surgeon Dr Shamim Kabir was present as special guest. District Information Officer Pavel Das presided over the session.
Speakers highlighted the need for strong media involvement to ensure the success of the campaign, which will run across Magura from October 12 for one month. Children aged 9 months to 15 years will be vaccinated during the drive.
Journalists from various media houses participated in the event, which ended with an open discussion and leaflet distribution.
