CUMILLA, Oct 2, 2025 (BSS) - Jasim Uddin, former Senior Vice President of Cumilla Metropolitan BNP and ex-General Secretary of the City BNP passed away at a hospital in Dhaka this noon. He was 56.

BNP leader Advocate Sabera Alauddin confirmed the news of his death around 2:00 pm.

Jasim suffered a brain stroke at his Cumilla residence on September 29, followed by a cardiac arrest. He was later shifted to Dhaka as his condition deteriorated and died while undergoing treatment.

He is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter.
