RAJSHAHI, Oct 1, 2025 (BSS) - Adviser to the BNP Chairperson and former mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mizanur Rahman Minu said here on Tuesday this year's Durga Puja is being celebrated in a most peaceful way than in previous years.
"This time's Durga Puja is being celebrated in the most peaceful manner in comparison to any time of the past," he said after visiting several Puja Mandaps in Rajshahi metropolitan city.
Leaders and activists of the BNP have been working as the Durga Puja can be held in a better way, he said.
During the visits to the Puja Mandaps at Saheb Bazar, Kumarpara and on the bank of the River Padma, the BNP leader exchanged pleasantries with the Hindu community.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajshahi Metropolitan President of Bangladesh Hindu-Baudhha-Christian Kalyan Front Achinto Kumar Biswas Santu said they are celebrating the Durga Puja peacefully this time.
"Appropriate security arrangements have been made. Law and order situation is well and all are celebrating the Durga Puja in a festive manner. There is no problem," he said.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Forest and Environment Affairs Adviser Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul and former councilor Rabiul Alam Milu, among others, accompanied BNP leader Minu.
