DHAKA, Sept 30, 2025 (BSS) - Charfesson upazila unit of Zia Parishad today accorded reception and provided stipend to 107 meritorious students who secured GPA-5 in SSC and equivalent examinations in the upazila in Bhola.
The programme was held at Braj Gopal Town Hall with Zia Parishad president Professor Mohammad Alam Shah in the chair.
Former MP for Bhola-4 constituency and BNP leader Nazim Uddin Alam told the students to uphold the spirit of the achievement in the coming days.
He said that today's students are the future of the country and the nation, adding, "For this, they should be good people, hardworking, proficient in information technology and the international affairs."
Alam said that there was no cheating in exams during the BNP regime, but the fallen fascist Awami League has destroyed the education sector by creating room for cheating in exams for the last 15 years.
"Sheikh Hasina and her party members were forced to flee due to public anger because they were looting the country's money. Everyone should work for a country free from corruption to build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh on the path shown by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman," he said.
Former upazila BNP senior vice president Amirul Islam Mintiz, former upazila Jubo Dal president Ashrafur Rahman Dipu Faraji, former upazila Swechasebak Dal president Mir Shahadat Hossain Sayed, Char Fashion Government College professor Nazrul Islam, Zia Parishad Upazila senior vice president Zakir Hossain and Zia Parishad pourasava unit organizing secretary Abdul Hai addressed the programme, among others.
Besides, Sumaiya Riya and Mahdi Al Islam Mahi also spoke on behalf of the students.
