JASHORE, Sept 30, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested a man along with 10 kilograms of ganja and two kilograms of explosives from Ramchandrapur village under Sharsha upazila of the district last night.

The arrestee was identified as Shahjahan Ali, 47, son of late Anwar Ali Sarder of the same village.

Based on information, a team of police, led by Sub-Inspector (SI) Anisur Rahman of Gorpara Police Investigation Center under Sharsha Police Station, conducted a drive around 8:00 pm and arrested Shahjahan from his residence with the contraband items, said Abul Bashar, Additional Superintendent of Police.

Two separate cases have been filed with Sharsha Police Station in this connection, he added.
