SATKHIRA, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS) - With the theme "Unity of Youth against Corruption, Building Purity of Future", a week-long cultural program, including debate, essay writings and drawing competitions on corruption prevention began in Satkhira.

Superintendent of Police (SP) of the district Mohammad Monirul Islam inaugurated the competition at the Satkhira Sadar Upazila Auditorium here at 10 am today.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Integrated District Office, Khulna, in association with the Satkhira District Administration and the District Corruption Prevention Committee, organized the event. Speaking as the chief guest, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Monirul Islam said, "Corruption is hindering our development ... we must declare war against it."

District and upazila administration officials, members of the District Corruption Prevention Committee, teachers and students from various educational institutions, attended the inaugural ceremony.

Satkhira Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shoaib Ahmed, ACC Assistant Director Zahid Fazal, District Information Officer Md Jaharul Islam, Deputy Director of the Youth Development Department Satkhira Sanjit Kumar Das, former General Secretary of the District Corruption Prevention Committee Professor Mozammel Hossain, Deputy Director Satkhira Passport Office Mohammad Ajmal Kabir, District Cultural Officer Faiza Hossain and District Children's 
Affairs Officer Md Riazul Islam spoke there.

Students from 32 educational institutions of the district took part in the competition.
