MADARIPUR, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS) - The body of a contractor was exhumed today from the grave for conducting re-autopsy after more than one and half months of his burial.

Executive Magistrate of Madaripur district administration Md Masum told the media that following a court order they exhumed the body of a local contractor named Syed Tuhin Hassan,45 and sent it to Madaripur General Hospital morgue for re-autopsy.

Family sources of the victim said the body of the contractor was found on the first floor of the office of the Education Engineering Department at about 12 midnight on July 31.

His body was buried at local municipality graveyard on August 1 considering his death as unnatural but after few days, a guard of the building told the family members of Tuhin that he was killed.

On August 6, father of Tuhin filed a case with a local court accusing seven people for killing his son and the court instructed the authorities concerned to exhume the body.
The court instructed the authorities concerned to conduct re-autopsy of the body for ascertaining the real cause of death of the contractor.

Syed Abul Hossain, father of the victim, said that initially the family members thought that Tuhin died of a heart attack but later became suspicious over the information of a guard of the building and some other factors in this regard.

He also demanded exemplary punishment of the killers of his son.

Executive magistrate Md Masum said that the body of Tuhin would be buried again after conducting the re-autopsy and the real cause of his death would also be ascertained.
