Manikganj, Aug 13, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested the Manikganj Poura Awami League leader in a case filed with Manikganj Sadar Police Station last evening. 

The arrested was identified as Zahidul Islam Khokon of village Joyra under Manikganj Pourashava and former Religion Affairs Secretary of Manikganj Poura Awami League.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Manikganj Sadar Police Station SM Aman Ullah, confirming the matter, said the Police arrested him last evening (August 12).

He was involved in the attack on the Students People Anti-discrimination movement in the Manora area in 2024. A case was filed with the Manikganj Sadar Police Station against him.

Adding that he will be produced in court today after completion of the necessary measures.
