BAGERHAT, Aug 10, 2025 (BSS) - Bagerhat Sahitya Parishad on Saturday organised a programme to mark the first anniversary of the July Mass Uprising, honouring the martyrs and the injured.

Bagerhat Sahitya Parishad President Prof Zaman Asad presided over the event held at the Retired Government Employees Welfare Association auditorium.

Senior Advocate Salimullah Ellis, poet Zakir Hossain, poet HM Humayun Kabir, former general secretary of Bagerhat Press Club Azad Ruhul Amin and editor of fortnightly Khan Jahan Sheikh Abu Sayeed addressed the function.

Artists from the Khan Jahan group performed musical pieces, followed by the release and distribution of the publication Eternal July.

A documentary on the lives of the martyrs and injured from Khulna division was also screened. The programme ended with special prayers for the martyrs and the injured.
