KHULNA, Aug 8, 2025 (BSS) - A team of the joint forces in a drive on Thursday afternoon seized 735 litres of illegally brewed wine and arrested a man from Barmashil Road, adjacent to the Railway Station under Khulna Sadar Thana.

The arrested Sekendar alias Siku was involved in illegal drug production and trading, said a press release.

In another drive in Taltoli upazila of Barguna district, the team arrested two drug peddlers-- Md Billal Hossain and Rahima Khatun-- and recovered four kilograms of hemp from their possession.

The arrestees, along with the seized items, were handed over to the respective police stations, the release added.
