CHUADANGA, Aug 7, 2025 (BSS) - A seven-day tree plantation campaign and tree fair began today in the district with the slogan of 'Let's do planned afforestation, build a green Bangladesh.'

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Deputy Director of Local Government Division) Sharmin Akhter inaugurated the campaign and fair at a function organized by the district administration and Forest Department at the Deputy Commissioner Conference room at 10.00 am.

Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension Masudur Rahman Sarkar presided over the function.

It was addressed, among others, by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Tazrina Sultana, former Principal of Chuadanga Government College Professor Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Forest Department Officer-in-Charge Rakib Uddin and student representative Sajibul Islam.

Earlier, a colorful rally was brought out from the Deputy Commissioner's office and ended at the Mukta Mancha of the district town parading the main streets.
