LAKSHMIPUR, Aug 7, 2025 (BSS) - Library corners were inaugurated in 292 primary schools in the district today to inspire the children to read books. 

Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr. Ziauddin inaugurated the programme at Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium this morning by handing over books to the head teachers of primary schools.

Library corners will be set up in 732 schools of the district in phases. 104 children's books were provided to 292 primary schools, said district administrator Rajib Kumar Sarkar. 

District administrator Rajib Kumar Sarkar presided over the programme.

Superintendent of Police Akhter Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Samrat Khisa, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education) Suraiya Akhter Lucky, District Primary Education Officer Mohammad Sajjad were present.

Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jamshed Alam Rana conducted the programme.
